Investigated various solutions, including quickeners, and alternative steering racks. Concern around making steering any more difficult which would necessitate power steering. Might try a season of autocross on current streering ratio which is approx 2.5 turns lock to lock. Would prefer under 2 turns lock to lock.
Purchased a custom steering rack from Woodward Steering 2.5 turns lock to lock with replacable pinion if I want faster. |

Differential. Currently car has a spool, effectively fixing the rear axel. Car struggles to turn. Needs to be replaced with LSD. |

Have investigated LSD solutions for this rear end. There are several available. Need to determine rear-end gear ratio. Due to smaller tires, stock 4-speed gear ratios, the car could use a different final gear ratio to increase top speed slightly and reduce acceleration. Won't know till I have it running. I'll see how I do on the spool for now. |
