3 Lower driver's seat to provide additional head and knee room. Current seat is installed in notch in transmission tunnel. Preliminary investigations shows this notch should be modifiable to allow seat to be lowered. Seat to be lowered by Paul Plunket as part of the work he is doing. Yes
4 New safety harnessness. Requires harness bar or revised mounting location. Currently mounting location is not legal. Order 2 new camlock harnesses. Required to determine mounting method first. 3 Paul Plunket is putting in a new harness bar for me as part of the work he is doing. Yes
5 Fabricate some type of air intake. Problem is carb is installed without enough clearance. Idea is to fabricate something to redirect air to a cone filter. Work needs to be done here. Fabricated, see pictures in Photo Gallery Yes
6 Lexan windows need to be messured and cut for the side windows as well as for driver's and passenger's windows. 7 Completed - Didn't bother with Driver and Passenger, may do later. Yes

8 Paint. FrankenMini needs a paint job, going with green and black roof. 7 Not started, been in contact with some body shops to do the work. No
9 Valve Cover. Current valve cover uses a rear mounted oil fill bung. This necessitates an access panel in the driver's cabin in order to put oil in the engine. Received an aluminum cover by Kevko. Paul Plunket of Breadbox racing is pulling the engine and will install. Yes
10 Finish wheels. The 2 piece BBS wheels on FrankenMini have seen WAAAY better days. They need to be disasembled and refinished and painted. Still trying to determine colour Going to order new wheels, some 7x13 Superlites. Done, purchased at Mr MIni. 8x13. Yes
11 Hood fasening mechanism. Current hood latch mechnism are rubber bonnet hooks, once is broken. Needs replacing. 8 Started, part of the new fender flares that are being done by Breadbox racing. Going to use Dsuz fasteners in place of the rubber hooks. Yes
12 Windshield wipers need to be installed. Have parts, but haven't installed. $140 No
13 Quicken steering. Investigated various solutions, including quickeners, and alternative steering racks. Concern around making steering any more difficult which would necessitate power steering. Might try a season of autocross on current streering ratio which is approx 2.5 turns lock to lock. Would prefer under 2 turns lock to lock. Purchased a custom steering rack from Woodward Steering 2.5 turns lock to lock with replacable pinion if I want faster. Undetermined Yes
14 Differential. Currently car has a spool, effectively fixing the rear axel. Car struggles to turn. Needs to be replaced with LSD. Have investigated LSD solutions for this rear end. There are several available. Need to determine rear-end gear ratio. Due to smaller tires, stock 4-speed gear ratios, the car could use a different final gear ratio to increase top speed slightly and reduce acceleration. Won't know till I have it running. I'll see how I do on the spool for now. $500+ No
15 Dash and gauges need to be sorted. Current dash needs a little more structure with better gauge placement. Need to get tach working again, oil pressure and oil temp need to be replaced with digital guages. Dash panel needs to be fabricated with better placement for guages. 9 Done, used a set of Longacre gauges. I'll be replacing with Autometer when I have some money, this units suck. Yes
16 Electronic ignition. Need to replace stock Ford electronic ignition with MSD or Mallory type system. Done, replaced with MSD 6AL Yes
17 Replace cam sprocket, crank pulley and aux shaft sprocket. Just need to buy and install. Several Ford 2300 peformance shops carry these such as Racer Walsh $225 No
18 Muffler needs to be made smaller. Current tail pipe looks like a cannon provides very little road clearance. Consider replacing with a SuperTrapp tunable exaust. They're cheap and they work. $250 No
19 Replace clutch and flywheel with more suitable units designed for racing Not something I'm looking to do any time soon. $1200 No
